My journey on the PEG-Intron Interferon Treatment

A few years ago, I decided it was time to explore the treatment available for Hepatitis C.  I went to a liver specialist who informed me that Interferon was my best choice.  After learning the process required daily self injections, I became a lot less enthusiastic.  Nevertheless, I continued to move forward.  At the time, I did not have the means to pay for this treatment and really had no idea what I was going to do.  A friend of mine suggested I contact my local county aid office and inquire about government healthcare assistance.  I filled out all the paperwork and attended all the required interviews to find out I did in fact qualify for assistance, so I could participate in this treatment.

Have you heard of MRE?

You’ve probably heard of MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). The Mayo Clinic has been involved in some research using something called MRE (magnetic resonance elastrography).
